I love taking flower pictures. My working areas are in the mountain, generally above 1500m. In different seasons, the variety of wildflowers are huge in the Mountain valleys of Nepal. The Mid-spring to the early autumn season is the best time to see the flowers. Isolated mountain valleys often see distinctive species or varieties of flowering plants. Some of those species are rare and very special. Varieties of Rhododendron (the national flower of Nepal), Himalayan Gentian, varieties of Primulas, Iris, Pinnacle Yellow poppy, Daisys, Himalayan Rosa, varieties of Orchid, Himalayan Monkshood, Himalayan Aster, Himalayan mini Sunflower, Himalayan Shrub, Horned Lousewort and Edelweiss (Stella Alpina) are some of the common flowers.
For those who love to see wildflowers and like to take photographs. Nepal is a paradise for it. You can spend days just in one area and amaze looking diversity of the flowers and beauty. We all know that to take the best picture needs time, weather, patience, a good camera, the right lens and of course good knowledge and technic. While I am trekking or hiking with clients, usually we are in hurry. We have plan schedules and destinations to reach. Sometimes weather not right and frankly, I am not the best photographer. I just had a simple auto manual camera. Recently I bought DSLR. Hope to take better Photographs than my old camera. However, I am learning and tried to take the best as possible. Here are some. I hope you like them……
